Question 1

What is RealitySlap?

Accepted Answer

RealitySlap is the Learned-Experience Layer for coding agents.

It gives your agent access to production know-how extracted from mature projects, so it can learn from what happened in real systems before making the same mistakes itself.

Question 2

Who is RealitySlap for?

Accepted Answer

RealitySlap is for developers and teams that already use AI coding agents and care about getting complex software into production.

We’re starting with dev shops, consultancies, in-house development teams, and AI development platforms, where wrong assumptions and unnecessary rework get expensive fast.

Question 3

How does RealitySlap improve AI coding agents?

Accepted Answer

Instead of dumping whole repositories into the context window, RealitySlap gives the agent a small amount of relevant, source-backed production knowledge when it needs it.

That can include proven approaches, warnings, failure cases, tests, workarounds, and examples from systems that faced similar problems.

The agent gets the hindsight without the noise.

Question 4

What kind of insights and learning does RealitySlap provide?

Accepted Answer

RealitySlap looks for patterns that repeat across mature systems, anti-patterns that point to weak or risky approaches, scars left by past failures, robustness signals, edge cases, workarounds, relevant tests, and practices that repeat across independent repositories.

In other words, not just how someone built something, but what tends to work, what tends to break, and what experienced teams learned along the way.

Question 5

What kind of problems does RealitySlap solve?

Accepted Answer

RealitySlap is most useful when the first solution looks perfectly reasonable, but production reality is more complicated.

It helps catch flawed assumptions, missing failure paths, risky architecture, forgotten edge cases, bad workarounds, and unnecessary reinvention before they turn into rework.

Question 6

Is RealitySlap just another code-search tool?

Accepted Answer

No.

In a way, RealitySlap is a harness that turns production repositories into experience for coding agents.

Code-search tools help agents find where something appears. RealitySlap goes further. It extracts patterns, anti-patterns, production scars, repeated practices, robustness signals, and other lessons from mature codebases, then gives the agent only the most relevant insights for the task at hand.

The goal isn’t to help your agent find more code. It’s to help it learn from what happened in production.

Question 7

Where does RealitySlap's knowledge come from?

Accepted Answer

From selected public repositories of real projects that made it to production.

RealitySlap extracts and organizes their engineering knowledge deterministically. Every source can be traced back to the exact repository, commit, file, and lines it came from.

Question 8

Does RealitySlap give my agent actual code?

Accepted Answer

When useful and permitted by the license, yes.

When code cannot safely be reused, RealitySlap can provide the approach as pseudocode or a description instead. The agent still gets the production know-how without importing restricted implementation code.

Question 9

What happens when RealitySlap isn't sure?

Accepted Answer

It says so.

Results include confidence, provenance, and information about what was left out and why. A confidently wrong answer can cost a developer more than no answer at all.

Question 10

Does RealitySlap replace code review?

Accepted Answer

No. It works earlier.

Code review usually examines code after it has already been written. RealitySlap helps the agent make better decisions before and during implementation, when changing direction is still cheap.

You should keep your existing review and testing process.

Question 11

How complicated is it to install RealitySlap?

Accepted Answer

RealitySlap connects to coding agents through MCP, so you don't need to replace your agent or change your development workflow.

The current beta runs locally as an MCP server. If your coding agent supports MCP, RealitySlap plugs into the workflow you already use.

Question 12

Which coding agents does RealitySlap work with?

Accepted Answer

Any MCP-compatible coding agent.

That includes Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI, Antigravity, Devin, Cline, Zed, JetBrains AI, Kimi CLI, Qwen Code, and others.

Question 13

How much faster is development with RealitySlap?

Accepted Answer

In our early tests, RealitySlap shortened development cycles by 30–70%, depending on the task.

The gain doesn't come from making the agent type code faster. It comes from avoiding wrong turns, rework, and bugs earlier.

Question 14

Why not just give the agent more tokens?

Accepted Answer

Because more context is not the same as better context.

RealitySlap isn’t built to save tokens. It’s built to save development time.

Giving an agent more tokens lets it read more. It does not tell it what matters, what failed in production, or which patterns are worth following.

RealitySlap gives it the few production lessons that matter for the task, so it makes fewer wrong turns and gets to production faster.

Question 15

How does RealitySlap help with harness drift?

Accepted Answer

You can keep teaching an agent by adding more rules, skills, memories, and context to its harness. Eventually, that becomes part of the problem.

RealitySlap keeps production know-how outside the permanent harness and brings in only what matters for the task at hand.

So the agent gets the experience when it needs it, without carrying all of it all the time.

Question 16

How do I get access to RealitySlap?

Accepted Answer
